Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme - IIU SCHEME:

The Govt. of India has floated this scheme for Indl. Cluster Development and under this Scheme, GIDC has assigned the work to prepare detailed project report for various clusters to various Agencies: -

1. The work for Vapi Chemical Cluster and Rajkot cluster have been assigned to M/s. K.P.M.G. Consultancy P. Ltd., on 19-12-02 on Rs. 9.50 Lacs fees per DPR. Accordingly, M/s. KPMG had prepared a DPR on Vapi Chemical cluster on 06-06-03 and it was submitted by GIDC to GOI on 04-11-03. This report is already approved by GOI. For Rajkot Cluster, they have not prepared DPR within time limit and henceforth, GIDC has cancelled the Work Order/Agreement vide letter dated. 21-01-2004. Thereafter, the DPR of Vapi has been sent to GOI on 04-11-2003 and GOI Committee, Total Project Cost is Rs. 54.31 Crores, already approves the same report.
2. The work for Nandesari Chemical cluster has been awarded to M/s IDFC on 09-01-2003 on Rs. 10.45 Lacs with the consideration of Acceptance Activity through IDFC. Accordingly, M/s. IDFC has prepared DPR on 17-06-03 and it has also submitted to GOI on 17-09-2003. Total Project Cost is Rs.20.90 Crores.
3. The work for Ahmedabad Cluster has been awarded to M/s. ERNEST & YOUNG (p) Ltd., on 09-01-2003 on Rs. 9.50 Lacs Fees for this DPR. Accordingly, they have prepared the DPR for Ahmedabad cluster covering Vatwa, Naroda and Odhav Estates and it has been submitted to GOI on 15-11-2003 and revised DPR on 10-09-2004. Total Project Cost is Rs. 80.74 Crores, as per revised DPR.
4. The work for Ankleshwar Cluster covering M/s. Price WaterHouseCoopers Ankleshwar, Panoli and Jhagadia Estates to (p) Ltd., on 27-11-2003 on fees of Rs. 8.25 Lacs. Accordingly, they have prepared the DPR and it is already submitted to GOI on 25-05-2004. Total Project Cost is Rs. 152.83Crores as per revised DPR GOI has approved the project and sanctioned Rs. 50 Crores.
5. The work for Gems & Jewelry Park at SURAT has been awarded to M/s. ERNST & YOUNG on 17-11-2003 on fees of Rs. 10.00 Lacs. Accordingly, they have prepared the DPR and the same will be submitted to GOI. Total Project Cost is Rs. 85/-Crores.
6. The work for VERAVAL CLUSTER on Fisheries Industry has been awarded to M/s. GITCO on 05-01-2004 on fees of Rs. 1.20 Lacs plus 8% Service Tax. The same DPR is prepared by GITCO and already submitted to GOI on 02-08-2004. Total Project Cost is Rs. 20/- Crores.
7. The work for LODHIKA CLUSTER in RAJKOT has been to M/s. MULTIMEDIA CONSULTANTS (P) ltd., They have prepared the DPR and it is also already submitted to GOI on 12-07-2004 and revised DPR on 02-09-04. Total Project Cost is Rs. 65.20 Crores as per Revised DPR.
8. The work for CHITRA CLUSTER (Bhavnagar) has been to M/s. Multi Media Consultants (P) Ltd., They have prepared the D P R and it is also already submitted to GOI on 14-03-2005. The Project Cost is Rs.64.75 Crores.
9. The work for MAKARPURA (Vadodara) has been to M/s. Multi Media Consultants (P) Ltd., They have prepared the D P R and it is also ready submitted to GOI on 14-03-2005. The Project Cost is Rs.36.04 Crores.
