Skill Up gradation Centre

  • To increase the talent pool availability as per the industry requirement, the State Government has constituted a High level committee for Empowering and Enhancement of Technical Competence.
  • GIDC has decided to construct 100 Skill Up-gradation Centers in its various estates for imparting training in different technical areas.
  • Currently 49 completely ready centers are being handed over to respective Training Partner in consultation with CED. Rs. 36 crore spent on construction of 50 Skill Upgradation Centers wherein new 30 centers will be constructed this year.

Establishment of Engineering College (semi-financed) on PPP model

  • GIDC will spend Rs. 50 crore from its own fund to construct an Engineering College at Navsari and a Polytechnic at Khambhat.
  • Government has allotted 4 hectares of land at Navsari and 2 hectares of land at Khambhat.

Health and Community Development

  • GIDC will build 316 Anganwadis and Livelihood Centers in 198 villages at a cost of Rs. 30 crore.
  • Gas stoves and pressure cookers worth Rs. 4 crore have been provided to Anganwadis of Banaskantha and Sabarkantha district.
  • Rs. 26 lacs sanctioned for Akshay Patra Foundation to purchase 3 vehicles to provide Mid-Day-Meal in villages of Padara Taluka of Vadodara District.
  • Water supply scheme of Rs. 12 crore approved for 10 villages in Dahej region.
  • Rs.20 crore sanctioned for up-gradation of approach roads to villages in Dahej area.
  • Celebration of 100 years of International Women's Day at Manjusar and Alindra villages of Savli Estate.
  • GIDC conducted free medical health check up camp in 5 villages of Halol namely Madhvas, Masvad, Navaria, Marua and Sathrota. The entire camp was for 5 days wherein more than 500 patients benefited.

Women's Day Celebrations

On completion of '100 YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2011', GIDC had organized "Awareness Campaign on Breast Cancer, Survical Cancer and Uterine Cancer" in two villages of Savli Estate viz. Alindra and Manjusar.


Other CSR Initiatives

  • PCPIR welfare society constituted for R&R of affected population in the PCPIR will charge a nominal amount of Rs. 15 per square metre from new allottees for welfare activities.
  • 1.  Rs. 22 crore contributed to the Society so far under this policy.
    2.  TERI appointed as consultant to carry out survey of affected population for R&R.
  • 5 crore sanctioned by GIDC and Rs. 5 crore by Dahej SEZ Ltd. for new OPD Ward in Bharuch General Hospital.
  • Navsari and Tapi district adopted by GIDC for funding the anemia control program of the State Health Department. Likely expenditure is Rs. 20 crore per annum.
  • Rs. 50 crore committed for Mahatma Mandir at Gandhinagar.
  • Centre for Industrial Area Planning & Management started in CEPT University. GIDC has committed Rs. 5 crore.
  • Rs. 5 crore given to Gujarat Socio Economic Development Society constituted by Finance Department.

Educational Assistance Programme

Distribution of Notebooks, Uniform, School Bags, Shoes-socks, Fans, Benches, Sports Equipments, Black Boards, Pencil-Pen-Erasers etc under the “Educational Assistance Programme” for the 25 Primary Schools all over gujarat existing within the Industrial Areas as well as Notified Areas of GIDC .
